Surroundings

The Grandfather’s House stands in one of the most beautiful country areas of Monzambano and the Morainic Hills of the Lake Garda. It is immediately close to small medieval villages such as Castellaro Lagusello and Borghetto which are of high touristic interest, being included in the list of “the most beautiful villages in Italy” and of the Mincio Park with its 40 km long cycleway connecting Peschiera del Garda to Mantua.

The surrounding countryside and its innumerable paths are ideal for those who love cycling far away from the traffic encircled by nature, while the abundance of typical trattorias, farm holidays, small restaurants, wineshops complete the “landscape” with the inviting flavour of the food-and-wine connoisseurship.

Peschiera del Garda and its lake, its life, its entertainments can be reached in a few minutes, as well as the amusement parks of Gardaland, Caneva, Movieland, Zoo safari, or the Parco Giardino Sigurtà, at Valeggio sul Mincio.

Towns such as Mantua and Verona which are world heritage of Unesco can be reached in half an hour’s car drive. Their historic centres, their architectures, their romantic streets, their restaurants, their shows and festivals stand for an attraction that cannot be given up by anybody.
